Refunds and cancellation

A plan is bought for a fixed stretch of time — 30 days or 90 days — and there is nothing to cancel: it simply ends. You keep Premium and the credits that plan granted until its last day, and nothing further is charged unless you choose to buy again.

Buy a new plan before the old one runs out and any credits you have not spent come with you: their expiry moves to the last day of the new period. Let it lapse first and those credits are gone, and cannot be brought back (clause 4).

Signing up gives you credits to use straight away, with no card and nothing to pay. They are there so you can try everything before deciding: record a Speaking answer, write a Writing task, read the feedback and see the band, and judge for yourself whether this way of marking suits you.

Use the free part up before you buy. After a purchase there are no refunds, so trying it first is the one thing that protects you from paying for something that does not suit you.

One case: you paid twice for the same thing — two transfers against one order, or two orders opened and both paid when you meant to buy one. We return the surplus, no questions asked.

Separately: if marking fails, the credits go back to your account — automatically, the moment it is detected. Those are credits, not money, and they are how we make sure you lose nothing when the fault is ours. If they do not come back, tell us and we will do it by hand.

• Changing your mind, or finding it does not suit you. That is exactly what the free part exists to answer, and it costs you nothing.
• Credits already spent on marking. The work is done and it costs real money to run. A band you disagree with is not a broken service — the marking is an estimate and says so plainly (Terms, clause 3). Do still tell us when a score looks clearly wrong; that is how we find faults.
• A plan partly used. Nothing is refunded pro rata for days or credits left over.
• Credits that expired unspent. The expiry date is shown in the app from the start and throughout, and buying a new plan before that date carries the unspent ones forward.
• Deleting your account. See clause 7.

Signing up comes with credits to use within 30 days. They cost nothing, so there is nothing to refund — they are there so you can find out whether the marking is any good before paying for it.

Credits are spent oldest first, so whatever is closest to expiring goes first without you having to think about it.

You pay by bank transfer, into GROOWING CO., LTD's own account, and we sell to you directly. No card is involved, so no card details exist anywhere and there is no chargeback through a card issuer. Our payment partner only tells us the money has arrived; they never hold it.

A refund we agree to is transferred back to the account it came from, usually within five working days. If somebody paid on your behalf, tell us which account it should go to. Your statement will show the transfer going to exactly the account name displayed on the payment screen — that is us.

Deleting your account means losing any credits left, and doing so does not by itself create a refund. There is no recurring payment to stop first, so nothing keeps charging you after you go — but if you delete an account while a plan still has time on it, write to us and we will sort it out.

Nothing here takes away rights that consumer protection law where you live gives you. Where that law gives you a stronger right to cancel or to a refund than this page does, that right applies.
